About us

Welcome to Timbran Design's digital home!

We are Steve and Rachel, partners in life and business, steering the ship of this intimate family venture. With a combined legacy of over 25 years in the thriving realm of bathroom design and installation, destiny took an intriguing turn during the global pandemic.

As the world pressed pause, so did we. In the midst of lockdowns and uncertainties, a shared dream emerged from the shadows — the dream of crafting bespoke, handcrafted wooden furniture and everyday homewares. And so, in the early days of the lockdown, Timbran Design was born, a name inspired by the old English word for timber.

Our journey commenced on Etsy, where we first unveiled our creations to the world. However, fuelled by passion and a desire to share our craftsmanship with a broader audience, we took the leap to establish our own website.

From these modest beginnings, our small enterprise blossomed. The demand for our handcrafted creations soared, prompting the need for more space. Thus, we proudly erected a second workshop, a testament to the growth fuelled by the shared love for our craft.

At the core of Timbran Design beats a commitment to sustainability. Our ethos revolves around utilising the finest British and European timber, sourced from suppliers who share our devotion to quality and traceability. Each piece tells a story of provenance and excellence, embodying the essence of our craft.

But our commitment extends beyond the wood we shape. In a world grappling with environmental challenges, we strive to contribute positively. Our pledge is to embrace eco-conscious practices, choosing recyclable materials, eco-friendly paper, and no plastic in our packaging. It's a small step, but one that aligns with our vision for a greener, more sustainable future.

Timbran Design is more than a business; it's a celebration of craftsmanship, sustainability, and the pursuit of a dream. We hope you find joy in our creations as much as we find joy in crafting them for you. Discover the Timbran Design Story…
