Timbran Design began with a simple idea: to create timeless wooden pieces that bring warmth, calm, and craftsmanship into everyday living.

We’re Steve and Rachel — partners in life and founders of Timbran Design. Together, we have over 25 years of experience in design, craftsmanship, and home interiors. During the quiet uncertainty of the 2020 lockdowns, we found ourselves drawn back to something more tactile and meaningful: working with natural materials and creating by hand.

What started as a small workshop and a handful of designs on Etsy quickly grew into something much bigger. As more people discovered our work, Timbran Design evolved into a dedicated studio and workshop where every piece is thoughtfully designed, carefully handcrafted, and made to last.

The name Timbran comes from an old English word for timber — a material we deeply respect for its beauty, character, and enduring quality.

Inspired by Scandinavian design principles, our collections focus on simplicity, functionality, and honest craftsmanship. Clean lines, natural textures, and understated details define everything we make — from statement furniture to everyday homewares designed to be used and loved for years to come.

Sustainability sits at the heart of our process. We work primarily with responsibly sourced British and European timber, selecting materials for their quality, traceability, and longevity. We also aim to minimise waste wherever possible, using recyclable packaging, eco-conscious materials, and completely plastic-free shipping methods.

For us, Timbran Design is more than a business. It’s a slower, more intentional way of making — rooted in craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a genuine appreciation for natural materials.
